TDEC

TDEC is a form of writing that keeps your thoughts organized and it makes it easier and faster for teachers to grade our work. The T in TDEC stands for thesis. A thesis is basically a way of answering the prompt/question in sentence form. It is the start of the essay or paper you are writing. The D stands for detail which is what is used to support your thesis and a detail is usually a real life example or quote that backs up the thesis. The E stands for elaboration. Elaboration is explaining the who, what, when, where, and why of the detail. Lastly, the C stands for commentary which is what the writers thoughts are about the detail or thesis. TDEC has been partially valuable to my writing. It is a good method and it helps express your thoughts clearly but it also is time consuming. Writing a TDEC takes time because you have to come up with every part. TDECs take away from the freedom of writing because every TDEC is set up the exact same way and they are always the same.
