I learned how to successfully write a crime fiction story through this project. One of the key things that I discovered, is that you are not going to be perfect at a certain type of writing the first time you do it. It takes time and practice to get good. You also might need multiple drafts and outlines to get your story just how you want it to be. If I were to do this again, I would better plan out my story first before just diving in and writing it. I should probably start with an outline that has main ideas of how I want the story to go instead of just starting with no idea where I am going. I think researching other authors and learning about my style of writing was very helpful. Having an understanding of how crime fiction is written and what needs to be in it helped to make my story better and to have an easier time writing it.
